Having run the New York Marathon in 2016, and loved it, I am - along with a small team - making a documentary involving about 40 runners to see what motivates and what it takes to train for - and hopefully complete -the world's biggest and most popular marathon - the 2018 New York Marathon!

And as part of that we're supporting the great work the Flinders Foundation does in supporting the Flinders Medical Centre. Many of the people who are doing the marathon have had cancer scares and/ or parents or siblings who have battled cancer so as we train and work towards doing the marathon so it's fantastic to support such a worthwhile organisation with such an inspiring team.

From a personal point of view My Nana Una also suffered from Nets (neuroendocrine cancer) for the last part of her life so I will be thinking about Nana and helping people like her, and their families, as we raise money.

So please back me (Again for those who have in the past) on this incredible adventure to raise funds for Flinders Foundation to establish a Cancer Survivorship and Wellbeing Centre at the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer, to better support patients and their families who are affected by cancer. I'll be using this site and social media channels (facebook and Instagram) for I'm Not a Runner to share some of our stories over the coming months. Thanks for your support. . .
